Seven was a team project with my friend Andrea, where we were challenged to take a fictional brand and build it from the ground up. Andrea took the lead on the major design work—logo, product mockups, and the promotional video—while I focused on content writing, poster design, social media ad layouts, and the branding documentation. Together, we crafted a cohesive brand identity centered around natural beauty and skincare, positioning Seven as a product line that enhances your natural glow rather than masking it.

Problem Statement

Building a brand from scratch is no small task—we needed to create a complete identity that felt authentic and cohesive across every touchpoint. The challenge was ensuring that the logo, packaging, social media presence, print ads, and promotional video all told the same story. We also had to divide the workload effectively between two people while maintaining a unified creative vision throughout the entire campaign.

Research and Findings

We researched current trends in the beauty and skincare industry and noticed a growing consumer preference for brands that celebrate natural beauty over heavy, transformative makeup. Brands like Glossier and Rare Beauty were thriving by promoting the idea of enhancing what you already have. We leaned into this insight, positioning Seven as a brand that boosts your natural beauty with clean, minimal products. We also studied successful social media campaigns to understand what visual language resonates across platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

Solution

We divided responsibilities to play to our strengths—Andrea handled the logo design, product mockups, and the final promotional video, while I designed the print posters, wrote all the branding content, and created the social media ad campaigns for Facebook, Instagram, and banner ads. I also put together the brand guidelines document to ensure consistency. The visual direction embraced a clean, natural aesthetic with soft tones and organic textures, reinforcing the brand message that beauty should feel effortless and authentic.

Duration 4 weeks

A full branding sprint from concept to completion—developing a cohesive brand identity, social media campaign, print materials, and a promotional video, all built collaboratively over four intensive weeks.
